FCEA hosts a variety of non-mounted seminars throughout the year. Each seminar counts towards a member's University Credit hours.  The Winter Series' are held on the third Tuesday of each month starting at 6:30 in Petey's corral at Equine Exchange.

Why is My Horse Bad? Dealing with Behavior Issues

- A discussion with Dr. Matilda Johansson covering the basics on behavior issues and how we react to them:
- Is a particular behavior derived from pain? Attitude? Dominance? Learned?
- How that will be a subjective interpretation.
- How would you interpret different behaviors? Reading body language
- Positive reinforcement for good behavior vs. correction for bad behavior.
- Changes in behavior, are they learned or neurologic.
- Why is consistency SO important.
